While on the road to Cumberland Falls State Park, an incredible sunrise began to unfold. After finding a safe place to park my vehicle, I didn’t have much time to waste. This kind of light doesn’t last long, and I still had to find a good vantage point from which to shoot. The tree line was rather thick, but there was small window which allowed me a chance to catch the light before it faded. I was planning to shoot some long exposures along the Cumberland River, and not planning for a sunrise shoot. This is one of those, being in the right place at the right time shots. It was not planned for, but was my favorite from the morning shoot.
