October 2015, I made my way down to Cumberland Falls State Park, to shoot some Fall colors in the area. Luckily it had rained prior to my arrival and there was still an off and on light rain in the area. Shooting with the aid of a polarizing filter when the leaves and rocks are wet, really makes them pop out. “Photographing the Natural Beauty of Kentucky”

An image from a few years ago, shot on my way to Red River Gorge. Driving along the Mountain Parkway, I noticed the early morning light striking this stand of timber. The trees were beautiful with their Fall colors. The soft early morning light made for an excellent photo opportunity. I had to turn around and drive back to this site, so I could get off the Parkway and setup. This image is a one second exposure, while tilting the camera (mounted on a tripod) in a vertical motion, creating the abstract look.
