“Flat Lick Falls”
I’m a huge fan of “Metal Prints”, so when I display my work they are my preferred choice. A metal print shows an incredible level of detail and seems to bring a photo to life.
My work can be found in several health care facilities across Kentucky. But now, I’m excited and honored to say that Saint Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, KY has been the first hospital to buy my work printed on metal. As of last week they have now purchased sixteen large metal prints of my work, these three were their most recent purchases.
To learn more about this exciting way of printing your work you can view the attached, “ChromaLuxe” video.
This creek-bed usually runs dry this time of the year. But with the recent rains we have had here in Kentucky, it is flowing pretty good. I decided to venture out and shoot this area before it dries up for the summer. Located at Raven Run Nature Preserve near Lexington, KY.

It’s not always the vast landscape scene that I’m shooting. In this case, I really liked the way the forest vegetation stood out due to a recent rain. Shooting after a rain really makes the colors pop out. This piece and more available at Ed Newell Photography.
Wow, it’s been some time since I have posted any work to this site. Sorry for the long time-lapse, here is one recently shot at Kentucky’s beautiful Cave Run Lake near Salt Lick, KY. I caught the soft early morning light in this shot. I call it “Pastel Morning” for obvious reasons. Hope you enjoy it.

When I was watching the weather last night it was calling for an overcast day. Along with the rain we had, I decided to head out this morning to shoot a waterfall. Bell Falls, in Kentucky’s Red River Gorge was flowing pretty good when I arrived. So I spent time shooting the main falls and then working the upper falls. The overcast conditions are the best light for this type of shooting. Allowing for the use of slower shutter speeds to get the silky looking water.
