Recently, I have stepped outside the box from my Kentucky Landscape / Nature Photography to begin shooting in an additional and new area of photography. My new venture is in the genre of Real Estate Photography. If you would like to learn more, please visit my website link below.

November 2015, I signed a contract with a local company Man-Sea Metal, to do some photography work for them. I decided to step out side of the box for this assignment and I’m so glad I did. Since signing the contract, I have been on three separate shoots and it has been fun working for them.
Even though I decided to try a different genre of photography my preferred choice will always be Landscape / Nature photography.
October 2015, I made my way down to Cumberland Falls State Park, to shoot some Fall colors in the area. Luckily it had rained prior to my arrival and there was still an off and on light rain in the area. Shooting with the aid of a polarizing filter when the leaves and rocks are wet, really makes them pop out. To view a few more shots from the Cumberland Falls area, feel free to stop by and visit my on-line gallery.
“Photographing the Natural Beauty of Kentucky”
A recent purchase of a few of my large prints by the University of Kentucky’s Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY was a real honor. It is exciting to see my work in yet another Kentucky Healthcare Facility. Studies have shown the healing benefits that art helps to create by providing a tranquil and healing environment for the patients.
I have been very fortunate since starting my photography business in 2009, to now have over one-hundred of my photographs installed in various Kentucky hospitals. There is a dedicated gallery on my web site with a few samples of my installations at some of these facilities.
If you would like to display the natural beauty of Kentucky in your healthcare facility, home or business, stop by and browse through my online gallery.

Pieces of my work printed on photographic paper and canvas can be found in several health care facilities across Kentucky. But Saint Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, KY has been the first health care facility to install my work printed on metal. I am humbled by their appreciation of my work. To date, they have purchased eighteen of my large metal prints, these two images are the most recent. Having my work at their facility along with so many great Kentucky artists gives me a sense of accomplishment.
The Printing Process
Through a printing process known as dye-sublimation, an image is embedded directly into the metal, not on top of it. Metal prints are created by using dye-sublimation inks on transfer paper and then placed on a specially coated sheet of ChromaLuxe aluminum. Heat is applied at about 400 degrees during the printing process which causes the inks to change from solids to a gas.
This process then causes the dye particles to be embedded into the ChromaLuxe substrate. The richness of colors and amazing details of metal prints make them seem to come alive. You have to see one to believe it, they can be best described as printing an image in high-definition.
My horizontal images are available as canvas triptychs which are split panel canvases. Each image is split into 3 separate canvas panels and printed on premier museum quality canvas substrate, using archival inks. This is a great way to decorate any place in your home or business that has a wide open wall space.
Similar to my canvas gallery wraps, each triptych panel is professionally wrapped around a 1.5″ wooden stretcher frame. Triptychs are very popular and a great alternative to single panel canvas gallery wraps. Normal spacing between triptych panels is 2 or 3 inches.
